School ended and i was very happy.
I even ate macs and happily window shopped around white sands.
but when i came back, i asked for the com back from my bro.
i means it's my turn to use okay!! but he say tomorrow he got sch so he want use.
WTF? HE GOT SCHOOL THEN I NO SCHOOL MEH?
SUMMORE I WAKING UP EARLY THAN HIM. 530AM WAKE UP LEH!!
and then he say, "i can give you, you lend me your laptop and bring in the table outside."
FUCK HIM CAN I HIS SLAVE AR? AND MY LAPTOP LEH WTF WTF
arghhh... normally i wouldn't mind but somehow i kindda pissed off today and all..

yeah.. so after that kindda emo...really emo...
i was crying abit already...haiis.....
and then someone unexpected was the one who comforted me.. lols..
maybe cause that time i was talking to him uh... haiis...
feeling a little bit better but not that better..
still feel like i can crumble and fall to pieces and moment...

first dream..

i was gonna hear something i didn't want to hear so i covered my ears and ran away..

i ran into the toilet and i hid at a corner, crying.. (lols.. :/)

then you were banging on the door asking me come out but i didnt.

until a cockroach came out of nowhere then i come out..(freaked out can..)

you were gone lo..then i walked into some room..(haha my surroundings keep changing. xD)

and you were there in a suit, black colour de or dark blue. (haha. xD same as yoseobbie's. LOLS)

and i shall end it here!! xD still got more but i get goosebumps and might die of embarrassment just thinking that i have to write it out.. hahah. xD it all ended happy la. :)

second dream..

we were in some lesson..on a couch(?) watching some video on a projector..

throughout the dream..i totally got ignored..got cold shoulder..got dao-ed like siao..by you..

eventually you talked but it was better off when you didn say anything cause..haii..hurtful words.. :/

after that, silence liao..totally no sound..but i keep staring at you and being depressed.

abit wth la.. first night nice dream, second night bad dream.. TT

like roller coaster go up then down.. TT

went to school with the working crowd..

super squeezy and damn tired that i actually slept while standing..

when we went to our room, the atmosphere was like solemn and very quiet..

i managed to talk to 2 girls for awhile but since they were in 02 and i was 03 so not really alot..

my PT is like super friendly!! xD

compared to how yanny describes hers, mine like very nice. xD

he's like funny and joker.. xD

my class has around 18-20 people.

not sure if everyone was present.

we were very enthu in a way..

since almost the whole class went for the dmit activity that was optional.

i know some of them liao, mostly remember faces more than names...

there's meiqi, venty, cassandra, andrea, jia wei, kin key, wu heng.... aish..

i remember their faces but not their names... TT im bad at names..

i wanted to pay for the 3rd lang thingy.

so i want the student centre there ask and they say can pay at the kiosk outside.

but the stupid kiosk took so long to load the page..

then when i insert my card in it says cant read..

so bloody pissed that i just stormed off.. rawr!!

now that module left 1 slot.. im a goner.. :/

but in a way i can leave early on wed? i guess. haha.

after that went home with corne and yanny..

laughing so much in the train about random stuff..

more of corne laughing alot then make me and yanny cant stop also..

after that i remembered my bro's turn to use com..

7. Truth Out At Last

[-MiHi POV-]

Dinner was simple, just rice and curry. We sat around the campfire and chat.

At first it was awkward but with Ji Yin, Eun Ji and Yoseob's great socialising skills. We started to feel more comfortable around each other. Soon, the area was filled with chatter and occasional laughter.

But i wasn't in the mood for all this. I was waiting for an appropriate time to ask the guys about this place. Actually i don't need to ask all of them, just one, Doojoon, hopefully.

"Excuse me i'm going to get more drinks. Anybody want anything?" Doojoon got up and asked around.

"Ne!" everybody started telling Doojoon what they wanted and he left.

That was my chance!

"Doojoon-ssi, I'll help you." i shouted and followed him into their hut.

Doojoon was busy finding the drinks the rest wanted and i was hesitating. A minute ago i was anxious to get answer but now i'm scared.

I took a deep breath.

"Doojoon-ssi, you guys are hiding something right?"

There, i said it!

He froze for a few seconds then continued to rumage in the refridgerator. I waited.

He closed the refridgerator door and turned to face me.

"Firstly, just call me Doojoon."

"And the answer to your question is yes, everyone has a secret or two, right?" he smiled and stacked the cans of drinks on his left arm neatly.

I wasn't happy with that answer and i pressed on further.

"I sure you know what i'm talking about, Doojoon."

He turned to leave, ignoring what i said.

"Don't make me ask you infront of the rest of the girls."

He didn't stop.

"If you don't say, i will ask the other guys."

Still walking.

"Yoseob"

He paused in his tracks.

"He can do something others can't right?"

He spun around and chuckled.

"Yoseob was right about you. He knew you were suspicious. Anyway most probably all your questions will be answered later at the briefing. So can you wait?"

"Araso." i nodded and followed him back into the campfire area.

Somehow it was noisier when we got back. They were playing games and fooling around alot. I took my seat next to Ji Yin.

"Okay, everybody enough fun. Back to business. Let's start the briefing!" Doojoon got up and pushed a big whiteboard out.

"Aww.. I wanted to play more." Ji Yin pouted.

"Ji Yin look at me." and i pinched her cheeks.

"Enough is enough, i'll play with you later okay? So listen now."

"Ne." she replied sadly. Miane Ji Yin but i really want to know what is happening.

The whiteboard had 12 names. The left was the guys and the right was the girls. There was one arrow pointing from my name to Yoseob's. I wonder why....

"Firstly, I know this is shocking but..all of you here holds a special ability. I'm sure some of you know that you have as well right?" he stared at me.

"Four of you have successfully activated your abilities during the mission just now.But currently i only know that MiHi has activated hers. May I know who else has?"

One by one, Min Ji, Eun Ji and Ji Yin raised their hands. Doojoon nodded in acknowledgement.

Chae Yun and Tae Yun were the most shocked amongst us, partly cause they haven't activated theirs yet so they didn't know. I could feel their fear and uncertainty, and it was growing rapidly.

"Mainly, you abilities are like related to Sight, Hearing, Smell, Touch/Feeling and Voice/Projection. One person would only have one out of the five. So could you three tell me what are your powers?" Doojoon took out a marker and started jotting down.

Ji Yin, voice/projection; Eun Ji, Hearing; Min Ji, Sight and lastly me, Touch/Feeling.

"Doojoon, why do i have and arrow pointint to Yoseob?" I couldn't wait any longer.

"Yes, i'm coming to that part now. Your abilities have to be controlled and right now, none of you knows how to. So you'll be training with one of us who have the same powers as you."

"The arrow will point to your trainer. MiHi, yours is Yoseob. Ji Yin is with HyunSeung. MinJi is with JunHyung. EunJi is with Kikwang. The four of you will start training tomorrow morning. Araso?" Doojoon explained to us.

"Ne~" the four of us answered.

"What about us?" ChaeYun asked.

We all looked at Doojoon, waiting for him to answer.

"Hmm.. I guess you guys could try and activate your abilities with Dongwoon and me tomorrow. We could do exercises that would help activate them." Doojoon replied.

"I..s-see. O-okay.." TaeYun stuttered. She seems scared. Very scared. I could feel it. If she could find a way to get away from here, she would already.....and i too felt like getting away.

My imagination was running wild. I thought of what training would be like tomorrow.

They would improve our stamina by making us exercise alot and when we couldn't catch up with their pace they would punish us serverely.

100push-ups?

1000 sit-ups?

Carrying boulders?!?

Then we would have training until late at night and wake up at the crack of dawn. After fully controlling our abilities, they would use us to do things. Treat us as weapons to....steal...rob....or maybe KILL!! OMIGOD!

I wanna get out of here NOW!! AHH!!

Suddenly somone grabbed my wrist and dragged me away from the campfire.

I walked to the bank of the lake and sat down. Many things happened and I'm very confused.

1. How did they managed to hide this campsite?

2. Why did JiYin, EunJi, MinJi and me have some kind of special ability? We didn't experience any of this before we got here.

3. How was i restained? By Yoseob? I can't believe he could do that. And if he could, would that mean that....

4. the rest of the guys have special abilities too?

I feel like i'm going mad. I took out my 'star' and prayed.

Seobang, mianhe. I just remembered what i used to call you. Kekeke. I was used to locking memories of you away, afraid that i'll breakdown again, that i actually forgot. I'm really sorry. I hope you'll forgive me....

Seobang, i wish you were here with me. This place is weird and loony.. It defies every thing that i've ever learned and known. I believe this place has many secrets and i'm determined to find out all of them. Seobang watch over me okay? And please come back soon too. I miss you. A lot.

I stared at the fog above the lake for a very long time. It moved and drifted about but it never came towards the land. I was abit fascinated by it.

"MiHi!! Your turn!!" Ji Yin shouted at me.

"Ne~" I stood up and ran to our hut. I really need a bath.

[-Yoseob POV-]

Doojoon re-entered our hut.

"The girls are settled in and we should start to get ready too." he said.

But I was the only one in the hut.

"The rest are getting more logs for the campfire and HyunSeung is cooking dinner." i replied. He went to his cupboard to find a new set of clothes.

I'm bored cause there was nothing for me to do. HyunSeung hates having people around him when he cooks and there are enough hands to carry the wood from the shed.

I was thinking of visiting the girls to get to know them more when I suddenly remembered something.

"Doojoon-ah...I think today, we may have to tell them about their abilities."

He stopped what he was doing and turned to look at me. It was comical; he pose now was one arm through his sleeves and the other halfway through and his face was like similar to the emoticon 'O.O'.

"Four of them already activated their abilities. But they can't control them well enough. Especially the girl with the same ability as me, she will get hurt if i don't teach her how to control it soon." i explained further trying my best not to laugh.

MiHi was the girl with the same ability as me. When i saw her i got attracted to her 'cause she looked like someone i knew when i was young. But her charactor is abit different from the one i knew.

"Okay. But how did you know so much? Did you use your ability on her?" Doojoon asked as he continued to change.

"Ne~ I had to, she was affected by all of us. She was in pain. Sorry Doojoon. I think she's starting to get suspicious about us." i apologized and made a sad face. :(

Doojoon sighed and patted my head.

"It's all right, we'll tell them about their abilities tonight and the four of them will have training tomorrow. Now stop making that face."

"Ne~" I smiled at him. Doojoon is like my older brother i never had. Seperated from our parents at birth, we never really experience love from our parents or family members, except for me.

I had a training session where i had to stay with a family for a week to learn how to fully control my powers. Even though they didn't know me at all, they still treated me well like i was their son. When i got back to Cube i missed that feeling terribly. Until one day, Doojoon showed his concern and care for my well-being, i found out that i could experience it here at Cube as well. From then on, I tried to get Doojoon to pat my head or say words to experience love. I showed the rest what it was also but they didn't understand. Oh well..

However there was one feeling that i never got to experience again. I didn't know what that was but it came from the daughter of the family i lived with. Being here again made me want to find her, but there wasn't any spare time while having this mission. I sighed and the door opened.

"Yoseob-ah, where's Doo- oh! - you're here. Both of you come out soon, the girls are out and HyunSeung is serving dinner already." having said that Kikwang closed the door.

"Just a minute i need fix my hair-" Doojoon was about to get the hairspray but i was faster than him.

"Let's go!" I stood up and pulled Doojoon out the door before he could reach it.

05. Feelings

I went to collect my backpacks and realised that I couldn't lift them up. Every muscle in my body was sore and i felt pain...in my ankle? When did I fall? I rotated my feet and saw that my ankle was perfectly fine. Then suddenly, I felt a sharp pain at my ankle again.

"Ouch!" Chaeyun and I shouted in agony.

I squatted down and held onto my hurting ankle. The pain was unbearable. I think i must have fractured it. I turned to look see what happened to Chaeyun and saw Taeyun helping her to get up. She must have fell down and landed on her injured ankle.

I tried to get up too but i couldn't. My ankle was way too painful. I closed my eyes, trying to make the pain go away. And then, i noticed them, all the other different feelings that i'm feeling as well. In fact, I was oblivious to them. I felt very weird....no...that didn't describe it.

I tried to grasp what i was feeling. I felt a mixture of tiredness, pain, sleepiness, excitement, anger and......love? I concentrated even more, I wanted to make sure i wasn't imagining all these.

This time i felt the exact same thing, except that the feeling of love was gone. I opened my eyes and got a shock. Yoseob's face was just a few inches away from mine.

"Are you okay? You look pale." he asked. I could see he was very worried about me.

Of course i look pale, my freaking ankle's hurting like crap. It's a miracle that I haven't started screaming and crying in pain.Ow ow ow ow! But I don't want to trouble anyone.

"Ne~ I'm..okay" I tried to assure him. Adding on to the pain in my ankle, the different feelings that i'm feeling was giving me a headache. There were too many of them and only one of me. So now i'm physically and mentally hurt. Ugh!

However, the next thing he did caught me by surprise. He leaned forward and put his forehead against mine.

The moment his skin touched mine, something clicked into place. We sort of connected with each other. I could understand how worried he really was and at the same time there was a little trace of elation as well. Curiousity got the better of me and I tried to look further into him.

Suddenly, the feelings disappeared one by one and i was left with emptiness. I could feel nothing; i couldn't control my brain; my mind went blank. I was restrained mentally.

"Hmm...Let's see..Your forehead's not hot. So I guess you're fine." he smiled and leaned away from me. He took the remaining backpacks that Dongwoon and Kikwang didn't take and walked into the gates of the campsite.

When we lost contact, i gained control of myself again. The pain was gone, the headache was gone. The feelings i felt came only from me. I felt so much better. I looked around and saw that I was the only one left outside and ran into the campsite.

The campsite took my breath away. It was very simple but yet beautiful. There were two huge huts and between them was a campfire. To the left of the huts, there was a lake. I couldn't see the other side though, there was a huge fog over it. I wonder why the fog only appear above the lake and not anywhere else. It seems unnatural.

Doojoon said the one of the huts was for us and the other was for the guys. When I say they were huge, i mean it. One hut could accomodate 6 people. But I personally think that having 10 people living here would be no problem as well. There was plenty of space. It also had a kitchen and two toilets. The only flaw was that the living room was the bedroom and it held six beds.

Doojoon allowed us to shower first before proceeding to the campfire for dinner and a briefing for tomorrow's activities. The girls were elated that they could shower. We're all sweating and someone in here stinks but we don't know who.

Since there was only two toilets, we had to take turns. I said that i didn't mind being last and left the hut before any of the girls could say anything.

04. Mission Completed

"We're almost there! Come on!" I turned around and encouraged the rest of them.

"But MiHi, I'm really tired...." JiYin whined.

"Okay, okay. MinJi, how close are we?"

"I'm not really a map. I don't know the distance. But it's close enough for me to see it." MinJi said.

What kind of answer is that? Didn't she gauge the distance when we were finding Taeyun and Chaeyun? Argh, i bet she's did that purposely. Seriously just what is her problem?

"Alright then, since she said we're close we shall continue...come on! Hwaiting!" I patted on JiYin's back to give her extra encouragement.

JiYin pouted and continued walking on.

----------------10mins later----------------

"Woah!" all of us except MinJi gasped. We were standing in front of two wooden doors that stretched about 4 metres long and 6 metres in height. They were connected to long stretch of wooden fences. I couldn't believe my eyes. Was this always here? How come nobody in town knew about this? But many unexplainable things has happened. I should start accepting this incredibly huge campsite as well.

We slid our bags off our shoulders and left them on the ground. One by one, we went towards the enormous door. EunJi and JiYin tried to push the doors open, but it wouldn't budge. Of course it wouldn't, it's so huge it must be heavy. We put in all of our strength and pushed it. Still, it didn't move.

We were discussing how to open it when all of a sudden, the doors began to swing inwards slowly. "Oh! It's moving by itself!" EunJi and JiYin squealed in delight. I sighed, i still can't believe there was another person like JiYin. Of course they can't be moving by itself, there must be somebody on the other side pulling the doors open.

And I was right! In fact, there were 6 guys. They look around the same age as us. There was even one that looks younger than me...oh, and he looks kind of cute too. He saw me looking at him and he grinned at me. Ba-dum..Ba-dum..Ba-dum.. what is this? why is my heart beating so fast? I avoided his gaze by looking down, it must have been because of the walking. Yupp! That's got to be it.

When i looked up again, the guy in the middle walked towards us and said, "Welcome, campers. My name is DooJoon and i'm the leader of Camp Space. On my left, is Yoseob, JunHyung and HyunSeung. On my right is, KiKwang and DongWoon. You have successfully completed the mission and i'm sure you've got to bond with one another as well."

Without thinking i replied, "We're so close that we might start getting on each other's nerves."

MinJi looked at everyone else and said, "Oh? Who's the idiot who made MiHi unnie so angry?" Then she looked at me with an innocent look on her face.

Oh!! I so hate that girl!! What's with that expression?

I could feel my anger steadily rising. But if i blow up now, i would definitely make a scene. I bit my lip and clutched my fist; trying to suppress the anger.

TaeYun tried to break the mood and said, "Err, can we continue this conversation somewhere? ChaeYun is injured and i think all of us are equally tired and would like to rest for awhile. Or at least sit down?"

"Well, of course. I totally forgotten my manners. We will continue this somewhere. So come on in. Yoseob, KiKwang, DongWoon could you help the girls with their backpacks?" DooJoon turned back and said to them.

"Okay, hyung." all three answered and made their way towards us.

03. Internal Conflict?

[-MiHi POV-]

My brain is about to explode!!!! There has to be a way, why can't i think of it!! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!

I put a hand into my pocket and clutched the pebble for comfort. It's what i always do when I'm stressed out. And then a thought hit me, my pebble gives off its own light. I had a plan. I took out my pebble.

"JiYin, EunJi, MinJi, i thought of a plan. This pebble has light and since it's almost dark, the light could be seen within a certain distance. I will climb a tree and take out the pebble. JiYin, i want you to do what you did just now and shout for TaeYun and ChaeYun with your mind ask them to find the light and walk towards it, also tell them to shout your name with their minds if they can hear you. EunJi, i want you to listen attentively for their reply. Okay, let's go!"

I was beginning to climb a nearby tree when MinJi suddenly said, "it's no use, they won't be able to come." Everyone's attention was drawn to her. "Why?" i asked her. "Because ChaeYun is injured and TaeYun alone can't carry her and the bags."

I stared at her in disbelief.

I gripped her shoulders and shouted at her, "How did you know? More importantly, why didn't you say so earlier?"

If she said so earlier, we would have found them by now.

"Well, you didn't ask. I only told you now because i couldn't take in anymore of these ridiculous plans you all come up with." she said as she broke away from my grip and glared at me.

"WHY YOU LITTLE BIT--" i was about to punch her in the face when JiYin and EunJi grabbed me from the back.

"MiHi! MiHi! CALM DOWN!" JiYin screamed into my ears. I turn to look at her.

"This isn't a time to have fights. We got to go find TaeYun and ChaeYun. " she said.

I breathe in and breathe out many times to calm myself down. I looked at MinJi and thought, MinJi is really unbelievable, doesn't she even care about TaeYun and ChaeYun? Argh! However, this isn't the time to get angry now.

"MinJi, so where are they? I'm sure you can see them right?" I said to her.

She looked at her fingers and said, "Yeah, you guessed it right. I can see them. They're actually quite close to us. If we walk for about 20 minutes we would be able to reach them. They are a little to the east from us."

I stomped towards the direction that she pointed to. The rest quickly followed. Sure enough, we found them in about 20 minutes. ChaeYun had a sprained ankle because she tripped while they were being chased by a wild boar. Luckily the injury wasn't that serious.

TaeYun and EunJi held onto ChaeYun's arms as she hobbled her way to the campsite while they rest of us carried all of our backpacks.

Finally, all the six of us were gathered and we headed to the campsite. The sun was setting...we're running out of time! Half an hour more to go!

[-Yoseob POV-]

It's going to be sunset soon. I hope the girls are doing fine. Actually giving them a mission at the beginning without training or help was kind of harsh. Even I wouldn't be able to do it. But Doojoon said he wanted to test them out and see what areas they are lacking. Since he's the leader and the upper heads approve of it, i didn't voice out my disagreement.

The 6 girls are important. They are supposed to be our partners. The upper heads said that they have similar abilities to us only they weren't activated yet. And we're supposed to activated and train the girls.

After that, they would pair us up and we would always be working in that pairing. I could sense that something is up but neither Doojoon nor the upper heads are willing to tell me anything. Even my ability of entering a person's mind didn't help out much.

"Yang Yoseob! Stop day dreaming! We're having a meeting here you know." Doojoon scolded me and I pouted.

"Hyung is just worried about the girls. I am too actually." Dongwoon explained while i nodded repeatedly.

"And that is why we're having this meeting." Doojoon said.

"I wanted to ask you about what we are suppose to tell the girls. Should we tell them everything at the start? Or should we try to keep it a secret until they ask us?"

"I think we should tell them a little at a time. Keeping all from them wouldn't help 'cause they would get suspicious and many problems would surface." Junhyung said. Typical of Junhyung, he hates trouble.

"Maybe we can go according to their progress? For example, if their abilities are activated then we could tell them about it and how to control etc. And when they managed to control them well enough we could tell them about Cube and ourselves." Hyunseung suggested.

Doojoon nodded, "That's a good idea. But what if they start asking us before they are ready? Should we tell them or not?"

Silence.

Everyone was thinking about it. I personally feel that we should tell them. Sooner or later they would have to find out. So what's the point of hiding? Anyway, if they couldn't accept it Cube would have their memories erased and it would be like nothing had happen.

"Tell them." all of us said at the same time.

"Yah~ we're like a team, we even think on the same wavelength. kekeke." Kikwang laughed.

"Babo! We ARE a team. What did you think we are?" questioned Doojoon.

"Oh right~" Kikwang said.

And the rest of us burst into laughters, Kikwang and his silly comments.

02. First Mission already?!?

The car turned left and we were at the entrance of Silent Woods.

JiYin and I got off and went to the boot of the car to take out our backpacks. I looked into the woods and chills were sent down my spine. It was really creepy, as though somebody had sucked the life out of this place. JiYin was way too excited to bother about anything and stepped into the woods. I quickly caught up with her, I was afraid to be left alone.

R-R-R-R-Ready Go! Ready Go! Ready Go!

JiYin's phone was ringing. She answered it, "Yes...yes...okay, hold on a moment." She put her phone on speaker mode.

"Hello everyone, this is the leader of Camp Space, I would like to thank you for participating in our camp. This would be the first activity of Camp Space, or rather a mission, that is to find the other participants of Camp Space and to report to our headquarters which is our campsite. The campsite can be easily found, you just have to follow the signboards you see while you roam in the woods."

What?!?! How does he think that we are able to find our way in the woods when it is our first time here? This is crazy.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. In total there are only 6 participants. I'll tell you their names, JiYin, MiHi, TaeYun, ChaeYun, MinJi and EunJi. I'll even tell you who's with who. JiYin and MiHi are together, TaeYun and ChaeYun are together, MinJi and EunJi are together. You have until sunset. If by sunset you have not found each other and reach the campsite, don't move about. Because we would head out to find you. Have fun!" and he hanged up.

This is unbelievable! How could they do this to us? I looked at JiYin to find her burning up with excitement. She really loves a challenge. I, on the other hand, was shocked beyond words.

"Come on MiHi, we have to find the others, let's go." she said cheerily.

True enough, there really were signboards that pointed the way to the campsite. JiYin was leading the way and it seems as though she knew the way around here.

Once, I nearly stepped into quicksand but she shouted my name suddenly and i stopped in time. It was queer because she wasn't even looking my way that time in fact her back was facing me.

So during our break i asked her, "How did you know where to move about here?"

She just stared at me for awhile and said, "Don't you find this place familar. I feel like i've been here before. It feels like home."

I sighed, there she goes with her crazy talk again.

"Okay, whatever, I just want to quickly find the others." I bend down to retrieve my water bottle in my backpack when she suddenly said, "MiHi! I know where where EunJi is! They're close by. Come on! They're waiting for us!" She quickly grabbed her backpack and ran.

I tried to run as fast as I could and I was panting and breathless when i finally caught up with her. She was grinning and waving at me and behind her, stood two identical twins.

JiYin said to me, "MiHi! I'll introduce, this is EunJi and this is her younger twin sister, MinJi." EunJi smiled at me and i nodded at her. MinJi just ignored me and continued putting stuff in her backpack. My guess was that they were also having their break.

I turned to JiYin, "How did you know where they were? I mean it was impossible to spot them from where we were resting."

JiYin shrugged and replied, "I don't know, I sort of knew they were there. I felt EunJi's...presence? and i was calling to her in my mind."

EunJi added on, "Yeah! I felt someone calling to me. I heard someone shouting my name and telling me not to move about." I was speechless. Their explanation was not logical or rational. I didn't know what to think.

After that, the four of us wandered about the woods for hours and hours. JiYin and EunJi both said that they couldn't, according to them, 'feel' or 'hear' anybody. TaeYun and ChaeYun was still missing.

I was getting more and more anxious. What if something happened to them? I nearly walked into quicksand, what if they also fell into one? My brain played all the worst possible scenarios that could happen, making me more worried. As if that wasn't enough, time is also running out, an hour more.

We have to do something, but what?

01. The Past

"JiYin! What were you thinking packing all these useless stuff for a camp?" I screamed at her. High heeled shoes, dresses, make-up kits, magazine and comic books filled almost 80% of her backpacks.

"What?" she murmured.

I shook my head and sighed, "Never mind, I'll repack them for you."

We were at JiYin's room, I stopped by an hour earlier than expected because I knew something like this would happen. She's such a baby. I sat on her bed and slowly took out all the useless stuff while she was looking inside mine.

"Oh wow! MiHi, can you give me this sparkling pebble? It's so preeeeety!" she exclaimed.

I froze, sparkling..pebble? I quickly got up on my feet, snatched the pebble out of her hand and kept in my pocket.

"Sorry, I can't," I replied. After that, I couldn't concentrate. I was hoping that JiYin never found out about it. Because everytime I opened my heart to others about it, i got teased and laughed at, some even said I made it up.

It was clear that she was shocked at my reaction, this was the first time she saw me so flustered. Curiousity was burning in her and when she couldn't take it any longer, she asked.

I hesitated a little, I was really afraid she wouldn't believe me. But I know if I don't tell her now, she would know I'm hiding things from her and it would ruin our friendship. I made my decision, I told her.

"It happened 10 years ago, when I was living with my parents. One day, mom brought a boy home and said that he would be my friend. I was very anti-social when i was young. So mom thought that maybe he could help me. He was a very bubbly person; a very hyper person; nothing seemed to be able to bring him down. He tried many ways and means to get to me. Eventually, an anti-social person like me also opened up my heart to him. He stayed at my house and we had lots of fun together. Life couldn't be any happier." Without realising, I smiled remembering the fun times we had.

"But one day, he said he had to go, and he gave me this pebble, saying that he would come back for me. And then, he left me. I felt so helpless and lost. My only friend was gone, i was all alone again. I cried day and night. My mom couldn't take my crying so she brought me here to live with Mrs Yang and the rest you should know. Until today, there's no news of him, I didn't even know his name, he wouldn't tell me." My vision was getting blurred and tears started trekking down my cheeks. I really missed him. He was the only person who tried so hard to be my friend, i was touched by him.

Even though JiYin was always abit hyper active and couldn't sit still, she managed to. She really listened to my story and didn't even interrupted me once. She got up and hugged me. "I sorry for making you tell me such sad things, I didn't know it was like that. I also thank you for telling me, I feel closer to you now."

I smiled. I guess at times JiYin does take the role of an unnie after all.

"So if you didn't know his name, then how do you call him?"

[-flashback-]

I finally gave up repelling him. I just couldn't. Seeing the way he tries so hard to get my attention and the effort he put in, I just couldn't bear it. I'm anti-social but not cruel. So my first friend in my life, what an interesting boy.

"Erm, so what's your name?" i asked.

"You can me anything you want."

"Eh? I don't know...Why don't i just call you oppa? Since you're older than me."

"No, no, that's so typical. Hmm..why don't you call me....seobang?"

"Huh? What does that mean?"

"Err.. It's a..name! Call me seobang."

"Ye~ Seobang oppa."

"Aniyo aniyo. Only seobang."

"Huh? Okay. Seobang."

He looks nervous when he suggested that name. I wonder why but I better not do anything to upset him. I'll ask next time.

[-end of flashback, btw seobang means husband-]

I couldn't help it but giggle. JiYin raised an eyebrow, "What's so funny?"

"Seobang, i called him seobang." then i couldn't hold it any longer and laughed out loud. JiYin kept asking me why i called him that.

I avoided her question by distracting her, "Okay, we're ready to go!" and we left JiYin's house.

The person at the registration counter said to meet at the entrace of Silent Woods. I was surprised at the choice of place because it wasn't called Silent Woods for nothing. It was said that sounds can't travel in there, even if you scream, no sound can be heard.

During the ride there, JiYin couldn't stop talking about how exciting the camp would be. And I too, joined in her craziness. I was relieved and feeling extremely elated that finally someone believed me. Little did we know that this marks the end of our peaceful and normal life and we were headed to a place so much different from now.

Prologue

00.Prologue

"MiHi, open your hands. I want to give you something" the boy said to me. I opened my hands and he put a small pebble that shone and sparkled like a star.

"What is this?" I asked him, my eyes not leaving the captivating 'star'.

"It's a promise from me to you, I'll come back again. Please wait for me." he replied.

I could hear his voice getting softer like he was getting further and further away from me.

But I was too focused at the 'star' in my hands to bother about it.

Soon, the light was beginning to hurt my eyes so i looked up and he was already gone.

I was all alone at my bedroom's balcony looking for my only friend who was nowhere to be seen.

Being an 8 year old, I could do nothing but cry.

[10 years later]

Ring! That marks the end of school, better yet the end of the school term. As soon as I pushed open the door of my classroom, I heard someone shouting my name.

"MiHi~!" JiYin called me in her baby accent. Oh dear, I knew that voice, she always does that if she wanted a favour from me.

I pretended that I didn't hear her and carried on walking. But she was a fast runner when she's excited about something. She caught up with me within a few seconds even though we were at least a few classrooms apart.

"Hey, don't pretend not to hear me. I feel hurt." she said using the same baby voice.

"Let's not beat around the bush, what's it this time?" I said feeling a little annoyed.

"Oh MiHi, you know me so well. Look at this!" I looked at the paper she had in her hand.

It read:

3 weeks summer camp at Camp Space.

Out of this world experieces and gaining knowledge even schools don't teach.

Do all this while having fun with your besties.

I seriously don't know what JiYin was thinking. Out of all the flyers she could have taken interest to, it had to be this one. This has the word scam written all over it and she still believes. Because never in my 9 years living in this town have I heard of a 'Camp Space'. And what's more, who's going to pay $1000 for a 3 weeks camp. It's just crazy!

I stared at her, "You aren't serious right?"

She return the look, "What's wrong? Doesn't it sound fun? Out of this world experieces! If you think that it's too expensive, I can always pay for you like always. After all, the only thing I have is money and my parents don't even care how I used them."

Rich kids! Sometimes, I don't know whether to be jealous of them or not.

JiYin's parent are well-known businessmen who owns most of the top fashion brands. They have always been busy working round the clock. So they left her here in this small town so that she can be away from the media and be out of trouble.

I found myself staring at the flyer again. If not for the pricey fees, I would have went. JiYin caught me looking at the paper and immediately decided on her own.

"That settles it! We're going!" and then she dragged me into her limo that was waiting at the school gates.

JiYin, shes's a crazy girl, she does things without thinking and gets into trouble all the time. But i just love hanging out with her. Maybe because we were both tossed aside by our parents.

My parents left me in this town with their good friend which was also JiYin's housekeeper, Mrs Yang. They couldn't handle me at all because I was constantly crying and throwing a fit. So they left me here.

Mrs Yang was a very patient lady. She managed to make me stop crying and eventually I became merrier. It was around that time when JiYin came to live with us.

Even though she's a year older than me, she acts as if she was my younger sister. But who am I to say about her, I do not act my age too. I'm 'like a mother nagging at her child', that's what JiYin always describes me when i comment about her actions and behaviour.

I look out of the limo's window and put my hand into my pocket. I clutched tightly around the pebble, everyday it was losing it's brightness.

I'm still waiting. Where are you?

today was a lousy day...

i was super emo like crap... haiis..

first shihui didn't come....zzzz...

then she didn't want to go drums too....zzz...

i seriously speechless about that okay...zzz..

second, my results was bloody shit even though i admit it was better than i expected..

i got 18.... and my BEST subject i got F9....

argh....i can't take it anymore.....fucking fucking results....

i should just fucking die....i'm so screwed up....fuck...

sorry for the vulgarities...haiis....

what to do....i'm dead....my mom....haiis....

thirdly, i nearly cried when i went to drums alone....haiis....

i seriously felt so odd and awkward and lonely walking around in a oh-so-packed mall...

i'm so out of place...haiis....

nobody was free to eat dinner with me...haiis...

at the beginning of the day, i prayed so hard that today would go well...

i prayed that shihui won't oversleep, but she did..

i prayed that at least dex or jinyi can eat dinner with me, but jinyi no cca and dex...just couldn't..

i prayed that drums would go well, but i screwed up mostly..

i prayed that(some miracle maybe?) that amaths the teacher would count others, but she didn...

does praying really helps? i wonder haiis....

don't know why but early in the morning i felt so pissed off. haiis..

but i was kindda emoing in the morning, i don't know why. lols.

everyone dropped.. seriously. the highest was only 18 lowest 43. wtc rite?

anyway i expected to get like 20++ la. seeing that my best subject(amaths) failed.

i was lucky to get 18. so bloody heng, i was super shocked. lols.

anyway not only me got 18, i know max got 18 too..

the other person i heard was huizhen? o.o don't know. lols.

but anyway, my l1r5 dropping each year. stupid lahs.

my mom is gonna like think again about sending me to poly now. wtf...

okay so yesterday was a super free day.

didn't have cca, didn't have drums.

yupp. so decided to go to jinyi's house to compose song.

kekeke. we gonna try entering the competition. lols.

in the end we only made up a small verse and bits and pieces of chorus lines.

lols. the music had a small range of notes only.

somehow i just can't sing to a bigger range. bleh.

i shall try next time!!! must break my 3notes music!!! muahahaha!!

anyway my mom said tat if by end of this year i still don't wanna study that much.

she will let me enroll in the poly course that i was so interested to go last time. lols.

Yesterday went out with Jinyi and Carmen to celebrate Jinyi’s birthday. We met at ehub at 10.30am. I was super tired, slept very late the night before. Turns out I wasn’t the only one who was tired. Both of them slept later than me! We decided to go bowling first since there weren’t many people at that time. First round, i was second. Second round, i was last. Third round, i was last again. Such a sad thing. Sigh. Then the system was faulty. We had another free round. The fourth round I was first! Finally!

After that we went to the arcade and played. I got 300 plus points for the basketball. My highest record yet. But of course, Jinyi was better than me. She was always better than me at games and sports.

We hang around the arcade until 2pm. Then we headed off to Burger King to eat lunch. Suddenly the cashier asked me, “Are you Rachael?” I was so shocked. Then he said that we same primary school. I started staring at him trying to figure out who he was. And then, I GOT IT! He was Wesley from 6.1, i think. He changed alot i guess. Couldn’t recognize him at all.

Finished out lunch and we went to White Sands. I wanted to go to comics connection. After hanging around there for like half an hour. I bought 2 ez-link stickers and naruto posters.

Was tired at the end of the whole thing. But it was a fun day!! :D

today went to ngee ann polytechnic for their engineering week. xD

i don't know why i went there but was glad tat i went..

cause i got to see a super super cute guy lah. xD

first i noticed his hair fromt behind, got style, quite nice.

so i went in front of him to see him in full view.

and it was like O.O. damn cute lah.

his skins is quite white for a guy, his eyes are like kindda big,

and they're like sparkly sparkly.

don't know what happen but was like stunned dao4.

he was doing a magic trick to the guys so i stayed to watch.

quite funny lah. when he doing the magic he was like shaking. haha. xD

quite cool too. xD then i tot he will go away liao. (T.T)

then suddenly the girls ask him to do a trick for them. (^.^)

then i watch on. xD haha.. he did a money trick.

he switch the money from his hand with the money on wenmin's hand.

SUPER COOL CAN!! XD haha. xD

then after that i tot he not coming back liao.

then in the end when we waiting for time to pass hor..

belle said something to the person taking care of us abt the magician.

then he go call him come find us.. xD

then he did another trick. haha.. xD

then he say need volunteer, belle volunteered but he picked me..

haha.. of course for a reason lah.. he keep looking at everybody's wrists.

and i had a watch.. so i was like thinking 'oh? so u gonna hide sth in my watch?'

and i was right!! he distracted everybody's attention on my hand.

and tried to hid a 50cent coin between my watch and my hand. haha

but he failed.. sads though.. haiis.. but it was funny!!

(and i was kindda happy he chose me lah. xD)

then after that nv see him liao.

except when he help his teacher push out the stuff he needed to perform.

somehow i keep tinking of him now.. weirdness..

yesterday, was chionging the whole day.
after school maths tuition, then go home eat dinner,
then do chinese compo, then study for chinese test..
haiis.. didn't use computer lah. and i tink my farmville the crops all died liao.
i so sad.. T.T haiis..

i saw aloysius at bedok bus interchange after maths tuition yesterday.
very long never see him already, i think like 1year?
he became even more thin le. haiis.. i feel so sad seeing him haiis..
anyway i heard that he having a fun time in school. so okay lah.
he invited me to join him to games convention this saturday. haha.
i shall go with him and my brother. :D haha.. :D

went for competition and chuyan never come.. -.-||

so mr hamdan ask one of the programming team go over to the IT quiz team.

cause the IT quiz got more hope. -.-|| so i went over lo.

preliminary round we had to answer 234+ questions in 20min.

but our team only answer 90questions. -.-|| i tink good enough.

i saw a team anwer lik 60 onli.. haiis..

then the questions was like super random..

from hardware to software to history to functions to many other stuffs. -.-||

in the end never get through lah. haha..

then the programming team. spend 1h looking for errors in their code.

in the end hor, is the compiler(codeblock) crashed.. -.-

mr hamdan didnt check his if his compiler was still working..

so it was like.. -.-|| total waste of time. haha. :D

but hor, SINGAPORE POLY WAS UBER HUGE!!!

the guide brought us to the computer labs and i nearly got lost going back.. @.@

lucky got other groups finish also so i follow them. haha.. xD

after that was like alot of stuff.. haiis.. to tiring to say. xD

then we go home! :D

i went to comics connection first to see if VONGOLA 77 come liao..

AND IT DID!! WOOTS! $13!!! yayness!! i bought it!!

today was teacher's day~ HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!!! :D

today was what the heck.. first was common test.. i was chionging study lah. then in the end it was easier than expected. but to me hor, it felt like i have the info but i dono how fit them in the answers. so it was like oh-my-tian.. haiis.. i didn't have time to finish it anyway.. last question i chiong 4lines in like few seconds, then i crap like crazy.. zz.. totally no link to the question i think. 6marks question write 4lines plus all is crapping.. i think at least onli got like 1mark only.. -.-||

chinese was o.O.. cause we were rewriting the sentences.. then some words i don't understand then i keep asking yanjun.. haha.. weird..

e.geog. lols.. i guess i was too busy chionging the chapter that i forgot about the worksheet. i only did 7.1 cause it was holiday homework. then 7.2 and 7.3 never do. she made us hand up before 5pm today but most of the people chiong during lesson time and SEL. haha.. i chiong like 5mins after school. and i did finish everything!! i was so happy. but i think some answers not elaborate enough.. haiis.. cant help it.. chiong mah.. haiis..

P.E took height and weight. I'M 155.5CM NOW!! i grew 0.5CM!!! at least there's an improvement.. haha.. xD means im still growing!! yay~~~~~ but my weight not changing.. i need to grow fatter!!! need to put on more weight!!! im so much underweight can.. -.-|| haiis..

EL i think the teacher nagged at us again.. haiis.. T.T i reli cant take SS and hist.. haiis.. but hist is fascinating to learn actually.. but i guess reading it up is as much as i can go.. and not studying it.. haiis..

A maths was teaching shihui about linear law and stuff.. cause she had the same problem as me when i started learning too. hahaha.. xD and mr neo was like, "an equation can have many different linear equations" hmm.. but it's true though.. shihui did one question and had different answer from me.. but both of our answers are correct.. lols..

SEL went to 3D classroom do survey.. damn stupid survey.. the questions were kindda hard.. my english not good.. so i think some questions i interpretted it wrongly.. -.-|| haiis.. very long the survey.. but lucky i never kena the interview.. haiis.. i hate the interview.. blehs..

i saw a manga collection in comics connection today.. i shall buy it!!

Yesterday went to my Aunt's housewarming.. she moved to punggol.. haha.. nice house u know.. xD haha.. nice view too.. could see part of the sea. and also my uncle has nice driving skills.. i banged my head 4 times.. he keeps nearly getting into accidents.. braking at the last minute.. the last hit was the worst.. my head pain for like the whole ride home.. zz..

i saw my malay cousins for the first time since new year's..elias grew like so much bigger.. taller than me liao.. and he's like sec 1 this year.. -.-|| then 2nd oldest had hair longer than mine on his head. but it suited him. haha. anw he's the best looking one of all.. hmm.. the eldest.. didn even change at all.. -.-|| he still has baby fats.. xD summore he's like 28 or something.. lols..

my youngest cousin joshua he likes taking photos.. he keep holding the camera talking people's photos and asking people to take photos of him. lols. damn funny.. he would pose for the pictures summore. haha.. maybe he'll be a photographer one day. haha..

today was horrible.. i went math tuition then after that i abit blur blur one.. zz.. i remember boarding the 17 bus.. but i don remember going off it and boarding 28.. zz.. in the end i ended up somewhere in between simei and tampines.. lols.. then i had to find a bus stop with 12.. damn funny.. so blur sia me.. haha.. and i still managed to reach home before 6pm.. how cool is tat!! :D haha.. maybe i was possessed.. hmm.. lols.. i don't think so.. haha.. i think i just gong gong anyhow alight.. haha.. XD

today was so blurrish. i feel as if i was sleepwalking through school. counldn't concentrate and was sleepy. tomorrow got drums! so looking forward.. :D i haven't practice though, will practice during cca.. hahahaha.. xD tomorrow starting of cca.. so excited!! not teaching tomorrow but weiting they all gonna teach! hope it goes well.. :D haha.. :D

tomorrow also got people's birthday.. hmm.. :D hope it's a great day tomorrow!!
